Ex-pub
The Exkneipe is outside the Kommersbuch - or connection house located hangout a fraternity that, following an official pub was visited. It was usually outside the university jurisdiction in surrounding places (beer villages) and therefore allowed a freer behavior.
The word was part of the student language of the 18th and 19th centuries. For the innkeepers , the title "Exkneipe" was an important commercial factor, so that it also likes to be effective in advertising, e.g. B. on postcards and inscriptions. As a rule, the bar-bars were equipped with various couleur objects ( coats of arms , circles , clubs , beer mugs, etc.) of the association.
