Explosion protection document

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When documenting the risk assessment , the employer must specifically identify the hazards caused by dangerous explosive mixtures in the explosion protection document.

This results from the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances , according to which the employer must also determine within the framework of a risk assessment whether the substances , mixtures and products used can lead to explosion hazards during activities .

The Industrial Safety Ordinance also refers to the explosion protection document.

In particular, the explosion protection document must show

  1. that the explosion hazards have been identified and assessed,
  2. the explosion protection concept ,
  3. whether and which areas have been divided into explosion protection zones,
  4. for which areas special explosion protection measures have been taken,
  5. how the cooperation between different companies is regulated and
  6. which checks of technical protective measures and which tests for explosion protection are to be carried out.

The form of the explosion protection document is not prescribed. All relevant documents that are useful for assessing an explosion risk can be added: Hazardous substances register , list of explosion-protected devices, risk assessments, operating instructions , operating instructions , alarm and hazard prevention plan .
