Exponatec Cologne
The Exponatec Cologne is the most important trade fair for museums in Europe.
The Exponatec is organized by Koelnmesse every two years. As a trade fair for museums, conservation and cultural heritage , Exponatec offers not only core topics such as conservation methods, restoration and material research, but also an overview of the various services on offer in the museum environment, such as visitor research, public relations and museum shops through to logistics , administrative requirements and personnel services. Presentation technology and exhibition design complete the offer. In addition to manufacturers and service providers, sales companies, associations, wholesalers and importers also use Exponatec as a business platform. The fair is accompanied by a specialist congress that offers target group-oriented lectures and discussions. Cooperation with relevant institutions and associations, for example with the German Museum Association , the Best in Heritage organization and Europa Nostra underline the international focus of the specialist event.
Exponatec 2015 took place from November 18th to 20th. 197 companies from 21 countries took part in the event, 32% from abroad. A total of over 4,000 trade visitors visited the fair.
The last Exponatec took place from November 22nd to 24th, 2017. 185 exhibitors took part, 33% of them from abroad. A total of around 4,400 visitors came, 20% of them from abroad.
The next Exponatec will again be held in Cologne from November 20-22, 2019.
