Ezekiel the tragedian
Ezekiel was a Jewish tragedy poet. He lived in the 2nd century BC. BC , probably in Alexandria .
Ezekiel wrote the tragedy Exagogue in Greek . In it he describes the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. Of the text - iambic trimeters written in good Greek - only seventeen fragments remain.
It is the oldest known dramatization of biblical material.
