The 1st Infantry Brigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army .

history

The brigade was originally formed on November 27, 1815 as an association of the Munich General Command . At the beginning of the First World War , the brigade was used as part of the 6th Army on the Western Front. The brigade staff joined the newly established 10th Infantry Division at the beginning of March 1915 and was named 20th Bavarian Infantry Brigade on March 8, 1915 .

During its existence, the command was in Munich .
