2nd Royal Bavarian Cavalry Brigade

The 2nd Cavalry Brigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army .

history

The large association was originally formed on November 27, 1815 as the 3rd Brigade of the Munich General Command. From June 1, 1822 to November 19, 1848 it was called the Cavalry Brigade of the 1st Army Division and then formed the 2nd Cavalry Brigade. For the duration of the mobile relationship on the occasion of the war against Prussia in 1866, the large association was assigned to the Reserve Cavalry Koprs as the 1st light cavalry brigade.

The brigade was disbanded at the beginning of the First World War . According to the war organization of the Bavarian Army as of August 2, 1914, the 4th Chevaulegers Regiment was subordinated to the 2nd Infantry Division and the 8th Chevaulegers Regiment to the 1st Infantry Division .

The command was in Augsburg .
