12th Royal Bavarian Infantry Brigade

The 12th Infantry Brigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army .

history

The large association was established on April 1, 1901 by renaming the 5th Infantry Brigade and had its command in Regensburg until its dissolution in 1917 . The brigade was part of the 6th Division . The following associations and various district commands were subordinate to it :

At the beginning of the First World War , the brigade was used as part of the 6th Army on the Western Front.

On January 15, 1917, the brigade was disbanded. The 6th Infantry Regiment came to the 11th Infantry Brigade , the 11th Infantry Regiment to the 9th Infantry Brigade .
