4th Royal Bavarian Cavalry Brigade
The 4th Cavalry Brigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army .
history
Originally the large formation was set up on November 27, 1815 as the 2nd brigade of the cavalry division of the General Command Würzburg, but was disbanded on May 31, 1822 and re-established in 1830 as the cavalry brigade of the 4th Army Division. On November 20, 1848, it was given the final designation of the 4th Cavalry Brigade. The command was in Bamberg .
The brigade was deployed at the beginning of World War I as part of the 6th Army as part of the Royal Bavarian Cavalry Division on the Western Front.
