11th Royal Bavarian Infantry Brigade
The 11th Infantry Brigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army .
history
The large association was established on April 1, 1901 by renaming the 4th Infantry Brigade and had its command in Ingolstadt until it was dissolved in 1919 . The brigade was part of the 6th Division . The following associations and various district commands were subordinate to it :
- 10th Infantry Regiment "King Ludwig" in Ingolstadt
- 13th Infantry Regiment "Franz Joseph I. Emperor of Austria and Apostolic King of Hungary" in Ingolstadt and Eichstätt
- District command Ansbach
- Gunzenhausen district command
- District Command Ingolstadt
At the beginning of the First World War , the brigade was used as part of the 6th Army on the Western Front.
On January 16, 1917, the large association received the 6th Infantry Regiment "Kaiser Wilhelm King of Prussia" from the disbanded 12th Infantry Brigade .
