The 1st Cavalry Brigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army .

history

The large association was originally formed on November 27, 1815 as the 1st Brigade of the Cavalry Division of the Munich General Command. From June 1, 1822 to November 19, 1848, it was called the Cavalry Brigade of the 1st Army Division and then formed the 1st Cavalry Brigade. The command was in Munich .

The brigade was deployed at the beginning of World War I as part of the 6th Army as part of the Royal Bavarian Cavalry Division on the Western Front.
