Royal Bavarian Foot Artillery Brigade

The foot artillery brigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army .

history

The brigade was formed on January 1, 1875 and was based in Munich . The 1st and 2nd , and after the formation on December 1, 1912, the 3rd foot artillery regiment were subordinate to it.

At first the large association was part of the inspection of the artillery and the train. With the dissolution of this inspection on March 31, 1889, the brigade was replaced by an inspection of the foot artillery. This existed until December 27, 1900. The foot artillery brigade was then re-established.

With the mobilization at the outbreak of the First World War , the brigade was disbanded and the foot artillery brigade command 1 was formed from the staff. From September 24, 1915 to February 21, 1917, this was called General of the Foot Artillery No. 1 and then Artillery Commander No. 18. The artillery commander was subordinate to the 6th Reserve Division until the end of the war . After the armistice , the troops returned home on December 18, 1918 and were dissolved in Schwabmünchen by the end of January 1919 .
