Royal Bavarian 3rd Foot Artillery Regiment
The 3rd foot artillery regiment was an association of the foot artillery brigade of the Bavarian Army .

It was set up on December 1, 1912. The regiment's peace location was Ingolstadt .
First World War
At the beginning of the First World War , the regiment was divided: The 1st battalion of the 3rd foot artillery regiment (1st – 4th battery of heavy field howitzers , light ammunition column ) was assigned to the III. Royal Bavarian Army Corps assigned as corps troop. The 2nd Battalion was directly subordinate to the 6th Army . Both battalions were deployed on the Western Front under Crown Prince Rupprecht .
Whereabouts
After the end of the war , the remnants of the regiment were demobilized and finally disbanded in February 1919.
The tradition in the Reichswehr was taken over by the 9th battery of the 7th (Bavarian) Artillery Regiment in Nuremberg by decree of the Chief of Army Command, General of the Infantry Hans von Seeckt , on August 24, 1921 .
