Hugo Bouhler

Hugo Bouhler (born April 13, 1855 in Ingolstadt , † October 24, 1939 in Murnau am Staffelsee ) was a Bavarian lieutenant general .

Life

After visiting the Cadet Corps in 1872 came as Bouhler Portepeefähnrich in the Infantry Regiment body of the Bavarian army one. With his promotion to lieutenant in October 1874, he was transferred to the 1st Uhlan Regiment . Bouhler graduated from the War Academy in 1880/83 , which pronounced him qualification for the higher adjutantage. In the meantime promoted to first lieutenant , in 1885 he became adjutant of the 1st Cavalry Brigade . This was followed from 1889 to 1893 as a cavalry master and squadron chief in the 2nd Uhlan regiment "König" . Subsequently, Bouhler was adjutant of the 2nd division in Augsburg and in 1897 joined the staff of the 1st Chevaulegers regiment "Emperor Nicholas of Russia" as a major . On December 17, 1899 he was appointed commander of the 1st Uhlan Regiment "Kaiser Wilhelm II., King of Prussia" and Bouhler was promoted to colonel until March 1903 . He was then from March 11, 1904 to March 25, 1907 commander of the 4th Cavalry Brigade and rose to major general in 1905 . In approval of his resignation request , Bouhler was put up for disposal on March 26, 1907 with the statutory pension .

During the First World War Bouhler was reused and served as an alternate member of III. Senate of the Reich Military Court. In this position he was promoted to lieutenant general in 1917, until his mobilization provision was lifted in 1918.

Bouhler was the holder of the Military Merit Order II. Class with a star.
