The ferry Barby is a ferry on the Elbe (Elbe km 291.5) between the city of Barby on the west bank and the city of Zerbst / Anhalt belonging Ronney on the east bank. The name of the ferry is Saalhorn , named after a headland in an area where the Saale flows into the Elbe. The owner is the city of Barby. The ferry is a non-motorized yaw ferry and is driven accordingly by the current of the river. The ferry runs daily. It is approved for pedestrians , riders, two-wheelers , cars , trucks , buses and agricultural vehicles. The prices for a crossing in 2019 are between 50 cents for a child and 11 euros for a semi-trailer .
