from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As the Fälian race , also called Fälide , Dal race or Dalic race (after the central Swedish landscape Dalarna ), Dalo-Nordide or Dalo-Fälide , a European group of people was postulated in racial studies , which was classified as a "subrace" of the Europids .

Due to the comparatively large, long skull and its angular outline, it was connected to the Ice Age Cro-Magnids and distinguished from the group of the Nordids because of the wider body and face. Other typological features are tall stature with comparatively long limbs , pinkish-white skin, straight or slightly wavy blond to medium blond hair and [light] blue eyes. Northern and northwestern Europe, especially southern Sweden , Lower Saxony , Westphalia and Hesse, was claimed to be the main distribution area of the Fälian type .
