The federal supervisory authority in the field of Education and Science ( Russian Федеральная служба по надзору в сфере образования и науки , scientific transliteration. : Federal'naja službo po Nadzoru v sfere obrazovaniya i nauki ) is the federal authority of Russia in the function for control and supervision in the fields Education and Science .
It was established in 2004 and operated under the direction of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia until May 2018 . After the reorganization of this Ministry, it has been directly subordinate to the Government of the Russian Federation since May 15, 2018 .
The common abbreviation is Rosobrnadzor (Cyril: Рособрнадзор).
Area of responsibility
The area of responsibility of Rosobrnadzors includes:
- Licensing and state accreditation of education-related employment
- Certification of scientific and educational staff at institutions of higher technical education
- Certification of graduates from educational institutions
- Certification and nostrification of education-related documents
- Implementation of the unified state examination
- Maintaining the federal register of documents on the state norm of education, scientific degrees and titles.
