Five Brothers Stolln

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Fünf-Brüder-Stolln was a mining facility in the Johanngeorgenstadt mining area , Erzgebirgskreis , Saxony .

The tunnel was located in what is now the Jugel district of the mountain town of Johanngeorgenstadt and was muted by Carl Heinrich Möckel in 1813. The Fünf-Brüder-Stolln was driven on the Fünf-Brüder-Gang not far from the Bohemian border at the Pechöfener Bach . Already after a few years the dismantling was stopped again. Today only a few heaps remind of the former treasure trove.
