The twenty-five (25) is the natural number between twenty-four and twenty-six . It is odd , a square number and forms the sum of the five odd, single-digit numbers: (1 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 9 = 25).
Meaning of the number 25
The twenty-five stands for the atomic number of the chemical element manganese (Mn) in the periodic table .
The 25th anniversary plays an important role in occidental society , since 25 years correspond to a quarter of a century. A twenty-five year anniversary is often referred to as a "silver" one. Silver weddings , service anniversaries and the like are celebrated as special events. The Catholic Church has celebrated a jubilee year every 25 years since 1470 .
