The pontoons (floats) of the sunken restaurant ship Fürst after it was lifted on July 14, 2013.

The restaurant ship Fürst was a listed former bathing establishment in Worms . The last day of bathing was in September 1983, after which the authorities prohibited swimming in the Rhine water because of the high concentration of coli bacteria .

It was the last remaining facility of its kind between Basel and Rotterdam , so it was a unique, nationally significant monument and an important chapter in Worms history.

After swimming in the prince was no longer possible, it was converted into a restaurant. Initially located directly on the banks of the Rhine , it was moved to the old Schirrhafen .

On New Year's Eve 2010/2011, the restaurant ship Fürst partially sank due to technical defects in the port. As a result, the superstructures above the pontoons were completely demolished; restoration is not planned for cost reasons.
