Prince of Guéméné
With the title of Prince of Guéméné (Prince de Guéméné) was awarded in 1570 Louis VII. De Rohan (1540–1589). At the same time, the Guéméné rule , which had been owned by the Rohan family for centuries , was elevated to a principality.
The elevation was part of the Rohan's efforts to rise to the first rank of the French nobility.
