Fürstensteiner Grund

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Fürstensteiner Grund (Polish: Wąwóz Książ) in the Polish Voivodeship of Lower Silesia is a four-kilometer long gorge in the Waldenburger Bergland through which the Hellebach stream flows . The path through the bottom leads past rock faces. On the left side of the valley are the ruins of the old Fürstenstein Castle, a former medieval style knight's castle from the end of the 18th century, and on the right side of the valley is the Fürstenstein Castle ( Zamek Książ ). The ground begins at the Church of St. Anna in the Spiš district of Szczawienko ( Niedersalzbrunn ) in the municipality of Wałbrzych ( Waldenburg ) and ends in Pelcznica (Polsnitz) above Świebodzice ( Freiburg in Silesia ).
