The 48th Tour of Turkey ( Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey ) was held from 22 April to 29 April 2012 found. The cycle stage race was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2012 , in which it was classified in the highest category 2nd HC, and was held in eight stages over a total of 1172.7 kilometers.
The Bulgarian Iwajlo Gabrowski , who rode for the Turkish cycling team Konya Torku Şeker Spor-Vivelo , was honored as the overall winner . It was later announced that his A-sample tested positive for the doping agent erythropoietin after the third stage, which he also won . Gabrovski was disqualified and the other drivers moved up one place each. The new overall winner was Alexander Djatschenko from the Astana Pro Team .
