Florian Vachon (born January 2, 1985 in Montluçon ) is a French cyclist .

Athletic career

Florian Vachon won the Classique des Alpes Junior in 2003 . In 2007 he won two stages in the U23 Tour du Haut Anjou . At the end of the season he drove as a stagiaire for the French Continental Team Roubaix Lille Métropole . He started at the road cycling world championships in Stuttgart in the road race of the U23 class, where he finished eighth.

In 2008 he became a contract driver at Roubaix Lille Métropole. His first international victory for this team came in 2009 on a Tour du Gévaudan Languedoc-Roussillon stage . In 2010 he moved to Bretagne-Schuller and stayed there after the team received a license as a Professional Continental Team in 2011 . He won in 2012 Paris-Bourges , a one-day race of the UCI category 1.1. With the Tour de France 2014 he contested his first Grand Tour and finished the tour as 106.
