Jacopo Guarnieri (born August 14, 1987 in Vizzolo Predabissi ) is an Italian racing cyclist .
Athletic career
In 2004 Jacopo Guarnieri was Italian champion in two-man team driving (Madison) and in the team sprint on the track in the junior class , and the following year he again won two junior titles on the track. On the road, Guarnieri was successful in the junior one-day races Trofeo Città di Ivrea and Memorial Pietro Merelli , and in the road world championships he finished fourth in the junior road race. He was also repeatedly national champion on the track in Madison and in the points race . In 2007 Guarnieri won the Circuito del Porto , a stage of the Olympia's Tour and the Trofeo Alcide De Gasperi .
In 2008 Guarnieri received his first contract with Team Liquigas , initially as a stagiaire . That year he was together with Alex Buttazzoni Italian champion in two-man team driving . He won the ZLM Tour and a stage of the Giro delle Regioni . In 2009 and 2010 he won a stage of the Tour of Poland , in 2010 a stage of the Circuit Franco-Belge and in 2011 a part of the Three Days of De Panne .
Between 2010 and 2019, Jacopo Guarnieri started on seven Grand Tours . From 2017 he drove for the Groupama-FDJ team and acted as a driver for Arnaud Démare . In August 2019 he broke after a fall at Prudential Ride London & Surrey Classic in London the clavicle .
