Iwajlo Gabrowski ( Bulgarian Ивайло Габровски ; born January 31, 1978 in Sofia ) is a former Bulgarian cyclist .

Gabrowski began his career in 2000 with the French cycling team Jean Delatour . In his second year he won the overall ranking of the Tour de l'Ain and shortly thereafter won a stage of the Tour du Poitou-Charentes .

Between 2003 and 2011 he won the tour of Bulgaria through his homeland five times . Since 2001 he has been Bulgaria's road racing champion five times and time trial champion eight times .

In 2003 and 2005 Gabrowski was given a protective barrier due to high hematocrit values .

In 2012 he won the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey . It later became known that his A-sample tested positive for the doping agent erythropoietin after the queen stage of this stage race , which he also won . He was then disqualified and banned for two years.
