Blaž Jarc (born July 17, 1988 ) is a former Slovenian cyclist .

Career

Blaz Jarc was Slovenian junior road racing champion in 2005 and won a stage in the junior tour Po Stajerski . The next year he won three stages at the Course de la Paix , one at Po Stajerski , one at the GP Rüebliland and the overall standings at Kroz Istru .

From 2007 to 2011 Jarc drove for the Slovenian Continental Team Adria Mobil . In his first season there, he finished third in the national elite time trial championship . In 2009 and 2010 he won the Slovenian U23 time trial championship. In 2009 he became the Slovenian elite road champion.

In 2011 he switched to the German professional Continental Team NetApp , for which he already drove as a trainee last year . He achieved his greatest international success in 2013 as the winner of the Grote Prijs Stad Zottegem , a Belgian one-day race in the UCI category 1.1.

At the end of the 2014 season, Jarc ended his career and contested his last race at the Münsterland Giro .
