Fāl-Nāma
Fāl-Nāma s ( Persian فال نامه, DMG fāl-nāma , ' oracle book') are books that are used, especially in Iran , to predict the future by means of stinging romance .
Two types of books are used:
- Volumes of poetry, especially the Dīwān of Hafiz , who will be hit by accident. The verse that catches your eye first is the omen , the rest of the poem its explanation.
- Special Fāl-Nāma s, here mostly the work ascribed to the 6th Imam of the Twelve Shia , Jafar as-Sādiq , which then also contains instructions for the interpretation of the prophecy.
