The Küssnacht am Rigi football club is a football club in the village of Küssnacht am Rigi .

The club was founded in 1946 and currently (2016/2017) plays in the 2nd regional league IFV , the sixth highest Swiss league . In its prime (until 1999), FCK played in the first division , which was then the third highest Swiss league. The club currently has over 500 active and passive members, around 300 of whom are juniors . The active members are spread over 27 teams .

A highlight in the club's history was the 2-1 victory in the sixteenth finals of the Swisscom Cup on October 22, 2005 against the professional team of FC St. Gallen from the Axpo Super League , the top Swiss division. In the next round, the team narrowly failed against FC Locarno from the Challenge League .

In the last few years the first team was able to build on the successful times and in the last few years have made it from the 3rd league to the 2nd league interregionally. The juniors also set some accents and it got to the point that all Fanion teams in the 11 junior categories (A, B and C) made it into the 1st class (2nd highest regional level) and in some cases only barely failed to rise to the highest league (Coca-Cola Junior League).
