FC Nouadhibou ( Arabic نادي نواذيبو لكرة القدم, DMG Nādī Nawāḏībū li-kurat al-qadam ) is a Mauritanian football club from Nouadhibou . With seven championship titles, the club is currently one of the three record champions in Mauritania alongside AS Garde Nationale and ASC Police , and many national players in the Mauritanian national team play in Nouadhibou.

history

FC Nouadhibou was founded in 1999 at a time when the sporting opportunities in Nouadhibou were poor. The club was founded by Ahmed Ould Abderrahmane Yahya with the aim of establishing the club as a fixture in national and, in the long term, continental football. The club quickly developed into one of the most successful clubs in Mauritania, the first championship title was celebrated as early as 2001, another four followed in 2002, 2011, 2013 and 2014. FC Nouadhibou is probably the best organized club in Mauritania, it has many facilities such as swimming pools, training rooms and modern training centers.
