The FC Stadlau is an Austrian football club from the district Danube city of the federal capital Vienna .
history
It was founded in 1913 under the name Normania . After the war, games were resumed under the name Stadlauer Sportclub in 1919 . After the merger with the Union XXI football club in 1925 , the club name was changed to Stadlauer Sportvereinigung .
Disbanded after the civil war in 1934, the club was re-established under the name FC Wolfrum . After a war-related syndicate with Floridsdorfer AC (1940 to 1945), FC Stadlau became independent again and moved into the new sports field on Erzh Karl Str./Smolagasse, which is still the home of the club today. 1954-1957 the club in the highest Austrian football league, who played State League A . In 1959 a contract was signed with ÖMV AG and the club name was changed to FC ÖMV Stadlau . The club's sports facilities were expanded, but in the same year they were relegated to the Regionalliga Ost . Since then, the club has switched back and forth between the regional league and the Vienna city league several times. In line with the sponsor's name change, the company was renamed FC OMV Stadlau in 1995 .
After relegation from the Regionalliga Ost in 2003, the club played again in the Vienna City League . Since the 2005/2006 season they have been playing again under the name FC Stadlau and are currently back in the Regionalliga Ost with a very young team.
