The FC Star Bremen was a sports club from the Bremen district of Neustadt . The first soccer team took part in the North German Championship in 1923.

history

The club was founded in 1907 and was probably the first German soccer club to be sponsored by a woman. The fish wholesaler Johanna Lucie Henriette Flechtmann, also known as Fisch-Luzie , was not only financially committed to the association. After her death in 1921, FC Stern reached the North German Championship a year later. As champions of the Weserkreisliga , the team met Eintracht Hannover in the first round and lost 4-1. In the following years, the Stern team slipped back into mediocrity and rose from bottom in the table in 1928.

After 1945 the FC Stern merged with the Bremer TG and the Free Turnerschaft Neustadt to form SG Neustadt . The Bremen TG split off again in 1946, while the remainder of the club was called TuS Bremen-Neustadt from 1950 . Bremer TG and TuS Neustadt merged in 1972 to form Bremen TS Neustadt .
