FC Stern Munich

The FC Stern München 1919 e. V. is a sports club from the Trudering-Riem district of Munich, founded on September 8, 1919 .

In addition to the very large football department , the club has a sports and health department and one of the largest floorball departments in Germany.

history

On September 8th, the independent soccer department of the gymnastics club Munich East from 1905 was founded. At that time the venue was the sports field on Emmeramstrasse in Kirchheim .

In 1921 gymnastics and sport were split up and thus the Munich-East gymnastics club separated. In 1929 the promotion to the district league (then the second highest division) could be celebrated with Alfons Beckenbauer , the uncle of Franz Beckenbauer .

On March 16, 1946, the club was re-established as FC Stern-Eintracht . The new sports field was now on Auerfeldstrasse in the Au-Haidhausen district and the former national player Josef Hornauer could be won as a player-coach . After two forced relocations between 1950 and 1963, FC Stern continues to play today (2018) at the newly built district sports facility on Feldbergstrasse in Trudering-Riem .

In 1970 a women's soccer team and a gymnastics department were established.

The floorball department was founded in 2007 and grew to over 250 members by 2018.

Soccer

The women's team has played in the fourth-class Bayernliga since the 2012/13 season , the first of the three men's teams in the ninth-class district class .

Floorball

With over 250 members, the department is the second largest floorball club in Bavaria.

Men's

Since the 2014/2015 season, the men have only played on the large field . After the just missed promotion in 2017 , the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga was celebrated the following year .

In 2019, the U15 runner-up and the U13 German champions at the respective small field championships .

Ladies

The women's team played in the final 4s of the Austrian Bundesliga from 2015 to 2017 . In 2017 she won the title. They have been playing in the newly formed German 1st Bundesliga since 2017/18 .
