The FC Tricolore Gasperich (officially Football Club Tricolore Gasperich ) is a Luxembourg football club from the Gasperich district of Luxembourg City . The club plays its home games in the Stade Emile Bintner with a capacity of 1,250 .
history
The club was founded on May 1, 1919 as FC Tricolore Muhlenweg .
Just two years after its founding, the club was promoted to the national division in 1921 , which it had to leave after only one season. It remained the only season in the highest Luxembourg division to this day.
After it was dissolved in April 1924, it was re-established as FC Blue Star Gasperich in 1925 . A first application for admission to the FSLSA (today's FLF ) on May 17, 1928 was rejected because the FC Tricolore continued to exist in the opinion of the association.
On March 27, 1930, the club got its founding name back and was re-admitted to the association on August 3 of the same year. During the German occupation of Luxembourg in World War II , it was renamed FK Tricolor Gasperich-Mühlenweg in 1940 . In 1944 it was renamed back to the founding name. The association has had its current name since 1946.
After being promoted and relegated to fifth class, Tricolore Gasperich played from 2011 to 2015 in the fourth class 2nd division, 2nd district. At the end of the 2014/15 season, the club was relegated to the 3rd division.
