1983 FDGB Cup (Badminton)
The FDGB Cup in badminton in 1983 was the seventh edition of this competition. The final round took place on April 16 and 17, 1983 in the Glückauf sports hall in Tröbitz . The winner of this edition of the FDGB-Cup was Einheit Greifswald , which defeated HSG DHfK Leipzig 10: 1 in the final . The final round was contested by six teams in two groups of three teams each, with the four teams from the major league being seeded for the final and two teams also being able to qualify via the small FDGB Cup final. When the two groups were drawn, the curiosity arose that the three best-placed teams of the past season were drawn into one group. Accordingly, there were always clear results in the final placement games.
