Example for the FF Dax

The FF Dax is a humanist sans serif font that of Hans Reichel between 1995 and 1997 for FontFont was designed. A typical feature are the missing spurs at the transitions between round and straight parts of the letter, which makes it appear very clear and reduced. These features can also be found in other fonts designed by Reichel ( Barmen / Barmeno (H. Berthold AG, 1983) and their revisions FF Sari and FF Schmalhans ).

In 2005 Reichel designed a version of the FF Dax with a lower line thickness contrast , which was published under the name FF Daxline and is therefore particularly suitable for larger amounts of text.

The UPS Sans font , which has been used in the UPS branding since 2005 , is a modified FF Dax. United Parcel Service used them without a license from FontShop. The resulting legal dispute was settled with a settlement.
