The FIFA Women's World Cup is the trophy for the women's soccer World Cup . It has only existed since 1999 and has thus been awarded at five world championships.

Appearance, dimensions and weight

The trophy was designed by William Sawaya of the Milanese company Sawaya & Moroni. The world cup shows a silver soccer ball that is carried by a golden spiral. The base is made of green migmatite (Granite Verde Candeias), the spiral is made of bronze with a 23-carat gold coating and the soccer ball is made of aluminum. At 47 cm, it is slightly higher than the men's trophy , but thanks to its less massive design, it weighs only 4.6 kg instead of 6.175 kg. Original value is around $ 30,000.

A copy is made for each tournament, which becomes the property of the world champion.
