The Fujian Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. is a commercial vehicle manufacturer based in Fuzhou ( China ).

history

The company was founded on June 8, 2007 as Fujian Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. founded.

It is a joint venture in which Fujian Motor Industry Group and Hong Kong Daimler Vans Limited (again a joint venture between Daimler and Taiwan China Motor Corporation) each hold 50%.

The first vehicle - a Viano - rolled off the assembly line in 2010. At that time, 1,300 employees were working in the company.

On March 1, 2012, the name was changed from Fujian Daimler to Fujian Benz .

In addition, in 2013 the first research and development center for Daimler outside Germany was established.

In March 2016, the Beijing Automotive Group agreed to hold a 35% stake in Fujian Benz

Models

Fujian Benz manufactures the Mercedes-Benz Vito and V-Class models for the Chinese market.

Up to 2017, the Sprinter NCV3 was also built in a variant adapted for the Chinese market.
