Banat Zrenjanin ( Serbian - Cyrillic ФК Банат Зрењанин ) is a former Serbian football club from Zrenjanin .

history

The association emerged from the merger of two clubs, namely from FK Budućnost Banatski Dvor from the town of Banatski Dvor and from Proleter Zrenjanin . The union happened on January 25, 2006. The game was played first in the stadium Karađorđev park and from 2010 in the stadium Mirko Vučurević . Banat Zrenjanin played from 2006 to 2009 in the Serbian SuperLiga and after relegation in 2009 for four years in the second-rate PrvaLiga . In 2013, the team was 15th in relegation and has been playing in the third-class Srpska liga Vojvodina since 2014 . In 2016 they were even relegated to the fourth league ( Vojvođanska liga "Istok" ) and the club was dissolved shortly before the new season.
