The FK Charkiw ( Ukrainian ФК «Харків» ) is a Ukrainian football club from the city of Kharkiv . The club played from 2005 to 2009 in the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha .
history
The club emerged from Arsenal Kharkiv . Arsenal rose to the first Ukrainian league in 2005 and was taken over by a new management, which decided to rename the club in FK Kharkiv. With a twelfth place in the table, the team was able to conclude the 2006/07 season and put Olexander Hladkyj, the premjer-Liha top scorer. In the 2008/09 season , the hometown of the team was Sumy , as the home stadium in Kharkiv was renovated. This season, the team rose from bottom of the table in the second Ukrainian league, the Perscha Liha .
