Olexandr Mykolajowytsch Hladkyj ( Ukrainian Олександр Миколайович Гладкий ; born August 24, 1987 in Losowa , Kharkiv Oblast ) is a Ukrainian football player .

Career

Hladkyj's first club station was metalist Kharkiv in 2004 , whose football school he attended in his youth. In 2005 he moved to local rivals FK Kharkiv and won a regular place under coach Volodymyr Bessonow . In the 2006/07 season he was the top scorer in the Ukrainian first division with 13 goals. Then Shakhtar Donetsk became aware of him and signed him at the end of the season for € 2.5 million transfer fee. In his first season with Shakhtar, he nearly accomplished the feat of becoming top scorer in the Ukrainian league for two consecutive seasons, something that no one has done before. Only Marko Dević from Metallist Charkiw was able to score two more goals this season. On August 17, 2010 he signed with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk . In the winter of the 2011/12 season it was awarded to Karpaty Lviv until the summer of 2014 . In the summer of 2014 he returned to Shakhtar Donetsk and signed a contract there until June 30, 2016.

After his contract with Shakhtar ended, Hladkyjs left this club and moved on to league rivals Dynamo Kiev . Here he only played the first half of the 2016/17 season and spent the second half of the season as a loan player at Karpaty Lviv. At the end of the season he finally moved to Lviv. After half a season he also left this club and then played the second half of the season for Chornomorez Odessa .

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the Turkish Süper Lig to promoted Çaykur Rizespor . After half a season he was signed by the Turkish second division club Adana Demirspor .

National team

He made his international debut for the Ukrainian national soccer team on August 22, 2007 in a friendly against Uzbekistan , in which he scored the first goal.
