FMC (aquaristic)

FMC is a mixture for the treatment of bacterial infections , ichthyophthiriosis and parasite infestation in the aquarium hobby . FMC acts on certain fish species such as Barbus sp. , Botia sp. , Pimelodella sp. deadly rather than curative. Alternatively, methylene blue can be used.

FMC consists of:

• 1 liter of formol ( formaldehyde 37-40%)
• 2.0 g chloramphenicol
• 3.7 g methylene blue
• 3.7 g malachite green oxalate (zinc-free)

Dosage: 1–1.2 ml per 100 l water
