The Research and Advice Center for the World of Work (FORBA) is an interdisciplinary, internationally oriented research institute in Vienna , Austria .

history

FORBA was founded in 1991 by employees of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna. The management lies with Thomas Riesenecker-Caba. The board / management team consists of Hubert Eichmann, Jörg Flecker (club chairman), Thomas Riesenecker-Caba and Annika Schönauer.

FORBA currently employs around 15 people. The aim of the institute is to increase knowledge about work and employment and to contribute to improving working conditions through policy advice.

Areas of activity

FORBA specializes in current labor research topics and combines the disciplines of sociology , political science , socioeconomics and business informatics . The work of the institute is divided into the following areas:
