The FSV Braunfels is a football club founded in 1918 from the Hessian Braunfels . The number of club members is around 500.
The club's greatest successes so far were three years of membership in the Oberliga Hessen in the seasons 1999/00, 2003/04 and 2006/07, when they were relegated again.
The 2011/12 season of the Verbandsliga Mitte was able to end the FSV Braunfels in first place in the table, which means the renewed promotion to the Football Hessen League .
