The FV 1919 Kusel eV is a German football club based in the Rhineland-Palatinate district town of Kusel within the association municipality of Kusel-Altenglan in the district of the same name .
history
1950s to 1970s
The club was founded in 1919 and rose to the 1951/52 season in the third-class regional league West Palatinate at that time . At the end of the season, however, the placement was not enough to participate in the 1st Amateur League Southwest, which was introduced for the next season. Thus, the club entered the 2nd amateur league from the following season. For the 1975/76 season , the promotion to the 1st amateur league succeeded again, with 20:48 points you had to go straight back down as the penultimate.
Current time
In the 2003/04 season the club played in the district league Kusel reached the championship here with 72 points at the end of the season. This means that the team will play in the West Palatinate district class in the following season. Already after the 2005/06 season it went back to the district league with 31 points over the 14th place. With 65 points, however, the championship and direct promotion should be achieved again. Thus, the club played again in the district class in the 2007/08 season. Here, too, the championship succeeded again with 60 points, which allowed promotion to the West Palatinate district league. Here the FV was able to hold up until the 2009/10 season, after which the relegation was due again with 22 points in the penultimate place. After the 2011/12 season, the championship was won again with 73 points, which meant that he was promoted to the district league again. With 24 points it went straight down again after the 2012/13 season. With which the club had to relegate to the now A-class league again. The club is in this league to this day.
