Fabrique (band)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Trio Fabrique from Bocholt released two singles on Ariola in 1987/88 . One of them, Trenchcoat Man , with German as well as partly English and French lyrics, became one of Sandra's biggest hits in the following year with new English lyrics under the title Secret Land . At the production in both cases was Hubert Kemmler involved, of the piano - Intro composed and the song later Michael Cretu further pile.

Fabrique consisted of the musicians Uwe Gronau, Ansgar Üffink and Michael Höing, who knew each other from various previous band projects.

Since both Trenchcoat Man and the successor single Birds Cry did not sell sufficiently, Ariola did not release a planned LP .

The band members, however, continue to produce music successfully in solo projects, for example Üffing with Vargo , Uwe Gronau has produced four solo albums from 1994 onwards, three of which are self-distributed.
