Construction supervisor

The specialist construction supervisor (FBÜ) is responsible for carrying out the tasks assigned by the Federal Railway Authority to the Deutsche Bahn Group for non-notifiable construction work in the field of superstructure and level crossings according to VV BAU as well as those assigned to simple technical or operational tasks according to VV BAU-STE Measures count. The specialist construction supervisor must have authorization from DB Netz AG and meet the quality criteria of the relevant specialist functional training.

The construction supervisor must have a master craftsman or a comparable qualification. The railway construction supervisor , on the other hand, must have a license from DB AG and an engineering degree.

The training to become a superstructure supervisor is regulated in the guideline 046.2752 of the Deutsche Bahn.
