Leopold climbing

Leopold Kletter (born May 23, 1912 in Sallapulka ; † December 7, 1989 ) was an Austrian meteorologist .

Life

Climbing doctorate on Dr. phil. and was a councilor . At the end of the 1960s he was head of the synopsis department of the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics in Vienna 19., Hohe Warte 38, member of the Austrian Society for Meteorology and examiner at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna . For his scientific work he was awarded the German Meteorological Society . He is the father of Bernhard Kletter .

Kletter was the weather presenter of the news program Zeit im Bild and founded the ORF weather department in 1980 with Carl-Michael Belcredi .
