There are technical subordinate relationships within the specialist services . It is not to be confused with the "technical subordination", which is a subordination in a special area of ​​responsibility. The technical service subordination is the relationship between a soldier and a superior who is responsible for the management of a specialist service of the soldier according to his service position based on his corresponding qualification ( § 2 VorgV). Accordingly, this also applies to subordinate and superior departments / facilities, insofar as their main tasks are of a technical nature. It takes place in addition to and independently of the subordination to the troops.

The careers of the specialist NCOs and NCOs of the reserve do not belong to the specialist services.
