Specialist care
The EFZ support specialist or the EFZ specialist support is a basic vocational training in Switzerland.
activities
The tasks of a specialist or a specialist support are diverse. They range from looking after children in day nurseries and day-care centers, to looking after mentally and / or physically disabled people, to looking after the elderly.
The support includes u. a. Going to hand with daily errands, getting dressed, taking medication, brushing teeth, washing, etc. The aim is always to maintain and promote the independence of those in care.
conditions
Willingness to work irregular hours, even in the evening and at the weekend. Prospective specialists for care must be mentally resilient, communicative and at the same time able to work in a team.
education
The training lasts three years. The three training locations are a company, a vocational school and inter-company courses.
