Michael Lotz

Michael Lotz (born June 30, 1967 in Dillenburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and mayor of Dillenburg since 2002 .

education and profession

Lotz grew up in Dillenburg. He attended the Rotebergschule from 1973 to 1977, the Wilhelm-von-Oranien-Gymnasium from 1977 to 1983 and the Business High School from 1983 to 1986, where he graduated from high school . After completing his military service , he studied law at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen from April 1987 to April 1994 .

Lotz worked as a trainee lawyer in a law firm from 1996 to 1998, became an assessor in 1998 and then worked from 1998 to 2002 as an independent lawyer in a law firm in Herborn .

Lotz has been married since 1996. The marriage resulted in three children, two sons and a daughter.

politics

In the 1980s, Lotz joined the Junge Union . He later became a member of the CDU. Since April 2002 he has been the mayor of Dillenburg.

Other positions that he held during his political career include, among others, that of the deputy chairman of the district committee of the Junge Union Mittelhessen as well as various functions in the local and municipal association of the CDU in Dillenburg.
